2. Can you explain how bandwidth consumption works in relation to number of hits to my site or the sizes of files downloaded from my site?
3. In case I will need more bandwidth, do I have the option to purchase more?

Can you explain how the Bandwidth qouta works in my account?
Bandwidth, or Data Transfer, works differently from your Server Space qouta. While other components of you account like databases and emails have their own space qoutas they are not related to your server space qouta. Bandwidth works differently. Emails, Databases, FTP's, and http functions require bandwidth in their every actions. And the single source of these bandwidths is your Bandwidth or Data Transfer account allocation.

Can you explain how bandwidth consumption works in relation to number of hits to my site or the sizes of files downloaded from my site?
The basic idea about the relation of bandwidth to hits is: "The size of the file is the bandwidth itself". Now, "strictly speaking", if you have a 10 KB of file to be downloaded, it uses up 10 KB of your alocated Bandwidth also. Now this is not always the case. Computer caching (even ISP cache) helps hugely in saving bandwidth consumption from your server. So, from this idea, you can more or less know how much you will need.
